FYI… Comments

I have been using AKISMET for managing my “comments” SPAM for over a year now and up until a few weeks ago it has always worked brilliantly. In fact I used to brag that I didn’t need no-stinking CAPTCHA…
However, now it looks like AKISMET throws every comment into SPAM and I have realized how horrible the AKISMET service is (their interface stinks). To this point I want to apologize to anyone who has recently posted comments and has seen a delay or worse never seen their comment posted. As a rule I never delete comments unless they are SPAM or deemed offensive to other people. As a last resort I am going to put in place a CAPTCHA this weekend or drop everything and become a for-hire mercenary with a mission to terminate all SPAM’ers in the universe (I haven’t decided yet)….
If any of you other GURU bloggers have any suggestions I am all ears.

Not suggesting I’m a guru blogger but akismet + Bad Behavior work well for me. akismet did go through a short phase of listing my comments as spam but I am happy to say that it has got over it now.
