Open-source companies to be acquired by proprietary vendors?

Better Said… New!
Virtually every open-source company (that has VC) will eventually be acquired by a big proprietary software company.
Why else would the VC’s invest? World peace, world hunger? They have an exit strategy, IMHO, that can’t wait long enough for an Open Source startup to IPO!
