It sounds like IBM has just applied the “cloud” moniker to many of their existing offerings as a marketing move.
Also, “provisioning” alone isn’t a technology. You can’t throw it in there with virtualization and automation. I suspect they meant “provisioning automation”. It’s a subtle but important difference.
The iDataPlex server line is the only thing mentioned in the entire article that represents actual interesting innovation. I can’t imagine anyone who’s not already an IBM shop picking up Tivoli software to manage their “cloud center”.
