BTW - that URL had a dollar sign stripped by the blogging software, so it’ll give you an error when clicked. To correct it put a dollar sign $ in front of the word FILE near the end.

End of an era. Brings back memories of teaching at La Hulpe. I lift my glass to all those who taught the core skills. I was one of the ones in John's classes back in the mid-90's before I went on to teach. I became Enterprise Certified out of his classes.

Hey Niclas,

I should of figured it would you or me giving the last Framework class. This class will be my 12 year of teaching Tivoli. I think it was 1996 the first time I taught a Tivoli class. Since it looks like you will have the honor of the last class please raise a glass high for many warriors who have worked on managing endpoints.

John,

I am actually teaching a Framework class 7-9 May at IBM in London, UK. I taught Framework the first time back in 1999 but I do not think there will be any 10 year anniversary ....

Regards

"Farewell Cruel World". The last time I taught a framework class was about eight years ago.

I was an IBM SystemView Senior Technical Staff member when IBM selected the Tivoli infrastructure as our strategic direction. (SystemView was IBM's brand name for ESM at that time.) I retired a couple years before IBM decided to purchase Tivoli. I worked on the OS2/MVS Tivoli Framework product introduction as a contractor for IBM and later as a contract instructor teaching the Framework class. I wound up specializing in the Framework class for the IBM Tivoli internal (new hire) classes.

After fifteen years the Framework structure has certainly had a pretty good run.

My compliments to the attendees if they are indeed the last formal trainees on the planet.
