Hi John & team -
I wanted to gauge your interest in a podcast with Skytap, a provider of cloud-based virtualization solutions, on the ways organizations can begin utilizing the cloud within their IT operations today – instead of waiting for the far off vision of Cloud Computing to become a reality.
Pundits, analysts and customers are equally uncertain what the future holds for cloud computing; however, enterprises can begin by reducing hardware and software acquisitions by assuming a model that mixes both the physical world and the cloud. Dynamic, high cost environments, such as those used for testing, IT prototyping and training, provide a logical starting point for companies looking to benefit from this new approach. These environments are typically underutilized and difficult to maintain, but need to be rapidly scaled based on business demand. By extending existing IT environments into the cloud, organizations can benefit from increased business agility, reduced IT costs and huge productivity increases.
Please let me know if you’re interested in taping a podcast discussing real-world ways companies can benefit from cloud computing today, and what challenges the industry faces as we move further down the path toward the long-term vision of cloud computing.
Thanks -
