Calling All Tivoli’rs

We need Tivoli customer ESM experts at the upcoming BarCampESM in Austin. We are trying to organize an un-conference where there is a great mix of open source and proprietary vendors, integrators, architects, and customers.  In the end our hope is that all of the presentations be given by customers from all of the silos (Tivoli, BMC, Nagios, OpenNMS, Zenoss, etc…).  

 My fear is that if the Tivoli community doesn’t participate because of this new “barcamp” un-conference like structure we will be missing out in what might be an industry defining event.  There has been a lot of press on this event already and it promises to be a huge success.  There are already a few IBMr’s on the attendee list and I have talked to a few and they are IBM architects.  This will be a huge event!

Although, I have been warned about agendas in barcamps by the other organizers (which they say is unbarcampish).  

Here is my dream agenda:

Saturday 

Time: 9:am to 9:45

Introduction and Rules of Engagement 

Time: 10 am

ZZTop (Whurley says he can make this happen!!! We shall see)
