BotchagalupeMarks for July 10th – 08:23
By John | July 12, 2009
These are my links for July 10th through July 11th:
- Dev and Ops Cooperation | Agile Web Operations – John Allspaw and Paul Hammond did a great presentation at Velocity 2009 about the tools and culture at Flickr, which enable them to do 10+ deploys per day
- Sugar on a Stick – Sugar Labs – Sugar Labs offers ubiquitous access to Sugar in a USB (Universal Serial Bus) flash memory drive (stick). The Sugar on a Stick project gives children access to their Sugar on any computer in their environment with just a USB memory stick.
- Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud | Ubuntu – Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud brings Amazon EC2-like infrastructure capabilities inside the firewall. The Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud is powered by Eucalyptus, an open source implementation for the emerging standard of EC2. This solution is designed to simplify the process of building and managing an internal cloud for businesses of any size, thereby enabling companies to create their own self-service infrastructure.
- Band Metrics Measures the Big Picture in Music — TechDrawl – This a local Atlanta startup with a very cool product…
- Business.view: Good to great to gone | The Economist – ONE of the keys to being an inspirational management speaker is not to dwell too long on the negative. No wonder Jim Collins is almost apologetic in his new book on corporate failure, “How the Mighty Fall”. As he writes, “When I sent a first draft of this piece to critical readers, many commented that they found our turn to the dark side grim, even a bit depressing.”
