- Open source VI(vSphere) Java API 2.0 GA! – New high performance web service engine. When I told people that we replaced AXIS, most of them wanted me to confirm what I said. The new engine is 15X faster in loading, 4+X in de-serialization than AXIS 1.4 with only 1/4 of size.

I want to thank every one who voted for me. I’m really surprised with the number of “#1″ votes I got. As you might notice compared to Eric’s own TOP-20 some people have moved up or down. I think the most noticeable is Gabe entering the TOP 10 and Chad going from 10th place to 3rd, but that’s well deserved in my opinion!
