I stayed at Renaissance in DC during Christmas as part of celebrating my wife’s big birthday anniversary. Guest services delivered a bottle and chocolate cake with birthday candle. It is true, most of the times Plats get treated well at Marriott properties. (Regular upgrades to suites, concierge floor etc.)
