Florence has long been active in the creative cultural exuberance that is Brooklyn. She is the the co-founder and the executive director of the Kentler International Drawing Space  in Red Hook and a former Exhibitions Coordinator at the Brooklyn Public Library. She is a recipient of a Pollack Krasner award.
