Atlantawag vs. Valleywag

By John | February 28, 2008

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness.

Ezekiel 25:17

Recently, Marc Fleury took objection to some negative personal comments that Sun CEO Jonathan Schwartz made about the JBOSS team. In an Open Road blog, Matt Asay interviewed Schwartz and asked him the compare the differences between the RH/JBOSS transition and the Sun/MySQL transition. Schwartz took a swipe at some of the JBOSS personalities. Come on, Schwartz, I’m sure  that they taught you this at Mckinsey: its not personal, it’s business. Your Fleury is bad; Mikos is good strategy and may work in a pollyanna world, but it is just not that simple in the real world.

I swear Matt Asay left a comment here yesterday…

Actually I was “Reddit’d” yesterday and took 28k views which forced me to move servers. So for about an hour while DNS took its sweat time propagating I lost the comment of one of my favorite bloggers.

Oh well, sorry for the confusion for anyone else who left a comment and it was lost.
