Enterprise “-2.0″

By John | March 25, 2008

Go figure, venture capitalists are the first to go negative in this new collaborative and transparent world. Adeo Ressi, the founder of TheFunded.com, has created a really cool social network for venture-seeking entrepreneurs to get and give advice on venture capital firm dealings. CEO’s of startups can rate and review different venture capitalist firms and share their stories. Another great example of how collaborative masses can work globally to provide the best results … (not) …

It seems that some VC’s are not keen on this particular kind of WEB 2.0 collaborative transparency. Dude, it ain’t about transparency; it’s about blood sucking every last drop of money out of every possible infinitesimal opportunity. Ain’t no VC gonna let TheFunded get in the way of that. Recently, there has been a flurry of threatening litigation from some of the VC’s who aren’t happy with their particular transparency. TheFunded.com has been forced to remove some negative posts in recent months. Think about it: if you had no soul and more money than God, wouldn’t you do the same? It’s kind of like the kid who owned the bat and ball, and, if you threw him out at first, he would take the bat and ball home and end the game. Nice try, Ressi, and better luck next time.

Are VCs threatening lawsuits to stay spotless at TheFunded?

This is the Founding Member of TheFunded.com… Just to be clear, TheFunded.com has not removed any postings. According to the research by VentureBeat, the funds are approaching CEOs who have signed contentious reviews and threatened the CEOs to remove postings using the content editing tools provided on the site to authors. TheFunded.com does not delete written fund reviews.
